John 17:9-10

The Bible in this photograph is from the 1800s. It reads, “I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. And all mine are thine, and thine are mine, and I am glorified in them.”

This is a prayer of Jesus before he goes to the cross. He is praying for us! For me. I am His. I belong to God. Jesus is facing the worst imaginable pain of dying on a cross and he is praying for me.
