A Queenly Gift Tag

This gift tag has a little bit of all the things I love. I made it for my “Tea Celebration Gift” in my shop. My collection of vintage music sheets and stamps has been put to great use.

This is a china platter I have hanging in my bedroom. The colors lend perfectly to the Queen Elizabeth stamp.

In my tea room I have a large framed display with teacups surrounded by faux moss. The saucer seemed like a sweet little spot to add my gift tag.

Directions:

  1. Gather supplies: blank gift tags, vintage postage stamps, vintage music sheets, letter stamps to spell out “tea time,” stamp pad, scissors, and sewing machine.
  2. Cut strips of music sheets so that they cover the bottom third of the gift tag.
  3. Lay the gift tags in a row and place a length of music sheet on top.
  4. Lick or wet the stamps to attach to the gift tag and music sheet together.
  5. Tape the little wooden stamp letters together to create the words “tea” and “time.” This makes stamping much faster.
  6. Stamp “tea time” with the stamp pad.
  7. Sew across the bottom of the gift tags in a zig-zag stitch.
  8. Cut out the gift tags and affix the string.
