A Queenly Gift Tag
This gift tag has a little bit of all the things I love. I made it for my “Tea Celebration Gift” in my shop. My collection of vintage music sheets and stamps has been put to great use.
This is a china platter I have hanging in my bedroom. The colors lend perfectly to the Queen Elizabeth stamp.
In my tea room I have a large framed display with teacups surrounded by faux moss. The saucer seemed like a sweet little spot to add my gift tag.
Directions:
- Gather supplies: blank gift tags, vintage postage stamps, vintage music sheets, letter stamps to spell out “tea time,” stamp pad, scissors, and sewing machine.
- Cut strips of music sheets so that they cover the bottom third of the gift tag.
- Lay the gift tags in a row and place a length of music sheet on top.
- Lick or wet the stamps to attach to the gift tag and music sheet together.
- Tape the little wooden stamp letters together to create the words “tea” and “time.” This makes stamping much faster.
- Stamp “tea time” with the stamp pad.
- Sew across the bottom of the gift tags in a zig-zag stitch.
- Cut out the gift tags and affix the string.
